What To Expect From Your Online Pilates Membership…

This is an online Pilates membership giving you access to a weekly pre recorded Pilates and restorative movement based classes suitable for ANYONE who wants to breathe deeply, destress, release, move and strengthen their body.

Whether you are a busy parent, a desk worker, retired, a budding athlete, have never exercised before, you have an injury or just want to improve your posture Pilates will benefit you.

Through mindful, simple and precise movements and gentle releases we will support you to rediscover your body, identify and alleviate postural based tension, move freely, improve your balance, increase your flexibility, as well as strengthening and toning your body. After the class you will feel reset, relaxed and recharged.  The classes will vary in length but you will get an hour a week of PIlates.

The classes incorporate seated, standing and floor work. They utilise some low cost small equipment such as massage balls, fascial release balls, therabands and overballs so that the classes are varied, interesting and most importantly relaxing.

Best of all, it is a lovely opportunity to have some time and space for you away from your busy routine without needing to leave your home.

 FAQs

What equipment do I need?
We do sell an equipment bundle with all the equipment you need for the classes.  If you don’t have the funds for this you can improvise (I will help you).  Outside of these items you also need a cushion and mat.

Can anyone do these classes? I do insist you complete my client health questionnaire before you start to ensure you are fit to do the classes.  This is a mandatory insurance requirement.  If you are pregnant or postnatal I suggest you purchase my pregnancy and postnatal online courses instead.

Will you answer any questions I might have? As part of your purchase confirmation you will get access to my client support Facebook group.

 Our Expertise

My own experience with chronic pain caused by congenital hip disorder and leading to acute osteoarthritis and experiencing the relief that Pilates gave me, inspired me to train to be a Pilates teacher.  I initially wanted to deepen my knowledge about my own body but soon realised I was deeply passionate about helping others experience the benefits of Pilates and restorative movement.  Pilates is so simple but often overlooked as a form of preventative care and rehabilitation.  I trained with Allison Swan, founding member of the Pilates Foundation and Independent Pilates Teaching Association, gaining a Level 3 Diploma in Teaching Pilates.  This was no mean feat as it involved 594 hours of lectures, home study, practical training and teaching practice whilst working full time in London and being a first-time mum. I know, what an achievement, right? This comprehensive training has provided me with a deep understanding of anatomy and physiology, health and fitness, Pilates matwork including Joseph Pilates’ original repertoire and more modern-day pre-Pilates.   It has also provided me with extensive knowledge of working with those rehabilitating, older adults and pre and postnatal women.  My training covered most common pathologies and I have had many successes working with clients with conditions such as unexplained back pain, arthritis, spinal disc injury, scoliosis, hypermobility, neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s and mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression.   i have done a lot of specialist training in women’s health from pregnancy, postnatal, pelvic floor dysfunction and diastasis recti.  Most importantly, I am so fascinated by my work that I am always striving to learn more be it through listening to my clients, training, reading, or collaborating with other health professionals.

Hi lovely. Really enjoyed your fascial release class this morning and was moving much better by the end (did it first thing when I was really stiff). Excellent thank you. My Chiro had given me a psoas release move to do which I was struggling with on my own and you’ve reminded me I can do it with my green ball instead.
