What To Expect From Your Mini Wellness Retreat…

Your Mini Wellness Retreat will be a blissful 3 hours of self care and deep relaxation designed to nourish your soul, reset your nervous system and leave you feeling restored and replenished.  We will focus on reducing feelings of stress and anxiety and rejuvenating your body and mind using restorative movement, release work, breath work and sound healing.  The day is gently woven together in such a way to leave you in a dream like state.

Angela’s Pilates class will be based on her ever clients’ favourite release class.  It’ll be full of restorative movement and myofascial release and designed to release tension in the body and leave you feeling  longer, taller and free from tension.   Think of it like an explorative journey of connection to your body, lengthening  muscles, reducing postural tension and using self massage techniques to free yourself physically and emotionally.

Julie’s breath work  is effective and improving your sleep, balancing your blood pressure, reducing any pent up emotions including feelings of trauma, improving your respiratory function, recharge your immune system and release stress hormones from your body.

Julie’s sound bath or gong meditation is a form of sound healing designed to offer relaxation, emotional release and even pain relief.  Since our bodies are made up of 70% water the vibrations are felt by every cell in the body.  Think of the whole body being completely immersed by sound.

 FAQs

Does it matter if I have never done Pilates or Yoga before? Absolutely not.  The class will be tailored to all levels.  You will be required to complete a health questionnaire before the retreat so I can plan the class appropriately,

What is  a Sound Bath? A sound bath is a meditative experience where your senses are ‘bathed’ in sound waves using healing instruments such as gongs, singing bowls, percussion, chimes and even human singing. The experience is all the more profound after yoga/Pilates or when you are already in a relaxed state.

I don’t eat dairy or gluten so will the food be okay for me? Yes I will cater for all dietary requirements

How many spaces are there?  There are 10 spaces on the retreat

What do I need to bring? Please bring a mat, pillow and blanket. Everything else will be provided.

As well as believing in the healing power of movement, Angela takes a holistic approach to wellbeing and enjoys sharing her journey to wellness with her clients. Julie Greenhalgh is a Counsellor, Kundalini Yoga teacher and Breathwork Coach.  Julie has worked in the  healing and wellness world for over 20 years and brings her huge array of skills to her practice.  Julie is  passionate and absolutely dedicated to empowering her clients to find their authentic happy self and live a harmonious and peaceful life.  I find Julie  an immensely gentle and intuitive soul who  has personally supported me  during a turbulent times and helped me  find such inner peace and calm.  Julie is based in Harpenden.

The day was absolutely fantastic, very insightful and a great intro to hypnobirthing. I came away informed and feeling confident about the journey head. The food and juices were also very delicious. My massage was also amazing, Mery was great and applied the perfect amount of pressure in all areas! Lastly, the Pilates and mediation really helped me relax and unwind. I actually managed to go into a very deep state in the last meditation session which had never happened to me before. Thank for a lovely day all round. Would definitely join you again if you did another one before I’m due.

Angela’s pregnancy retreat was absolutely blissful. A chance to focus completely on myself, my body and my state of mind. Combining movement in the Pilates classes with hypnobirthing practice and a reflexology treatment, I left feeling thoroughly relaxed and recharged.
