Unless you are very lucky, pregnancy is often accompanied by a few aches and pains along the way. We’re here to enable you to make pregnancy wellbeing a fundamental part of your experience.

Through the use of Pilates, pregnancy massage and hypnobirthing, we can help you to manage your ever-changing body shape, maintain a balanced posture, reduce the stresses and strains caused by your growing foetus and bump and, most importantly, prepare for a positive and empowered birth experience.

Move & Bloom – Group Pilates Class

Combine the astonishing benefits of pregnancy Pilates and hypnobirthing to support you throughout your pregnancy. These classes prepare you for a positive birth experience, build up your strength for life as a mum and promote a smooth postnatal recovery.

The classes focus on gentle releases, functional movement and strengthening exercises to alleviate pregnancy tension, ward off pelvic girdle pain and keep you strong throughout pregnancy. You’ll learn deep relaxation and an introduction to hypnobirthing techniques and, through this, you’ll learn to connect with your breath, pelvic floor and deep abdominals.

We have created a safe space for mums to come and move their bodies, realign themselves physically and mentally – and be amongst other expectant mums in a caring and nurturing environment.

The course comprises a half-termly block of 90-minute specialist Pilates classes, access to our online Move & Bloom course with  interviews with pregnancy experts, access to over two hours of pregnancy safe exercises and 6 hypnobirthing tracks. You’ll also receive a pack of 25 positive affirmation cards, have access to our supportive Facebook group and class WhatsApp group.

 Move & Bloom – 1-2-1 Pilates Class

We know how much pregnant mums have to contend with (especially when you have to fit in all those ‘nesting’ projects before your baby arrives!). For this reason, you can book private 1-2-1 Move and Bloom pregnancy Pilates classes to fit in with your schedule.

The classes focus on gentle releases to alleviate pregnancy tension and restorative movement and strengthening exercises. You’ll learn deep relaxation and an introduction to hypnobirthing techniques and, through this, you’ll learn to connect with your breath, pelvic floor and deep abdominals.

If you have any specific health concerns, or are under Consultant care, this is often a preferred option.

Traumatic Birth Recovery 3 Step Rewind

Traumatic Birth Recovery – 3 Step Rewind

Did you have a difficult or traumatic  birth?  Do the the feelings associated with your birth feel ever present?

3 Step Rewind is a gentle and effective process that can help shift the heavy or unhelpful emotions and anxiety that are attached to any negative memories related to your experiences of pregnancy or birth.

At its heart the goal is to free you from negative thoughts and feelings so that your fear and anxiety aren’t triggered on a daily basis.

The process itself feels like a guided meditation.  I guide you to a deeply relaxed place and your subconscious  does all the work.  The most fantastic thing about this technique is that you don’t even have to talk about your experience if that in itself is painful.

 Move & Bloom – Online

We have created an online version of our Move and Bloom course, allowing pregnant mothers access to over two hours of pregnancy-safe exercises. We’ll focus on gentle releases to alleviate pregnancy tension, restorative movement and body strengthening. I’ll help you to connect with your breath, pelvic floor and deep abdominals, in readiness for childbirth and prepare you for your postnatal recovery.

You’ll also get access to our Zing Wellness hypnobirthing tracks.

Best of all, we have an online chat before you start and I also provide you with the equipment you’ll need to do your exercises at home.

Hi I’ve had pregnancy 1-1 Pilates sessions with Angela and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her. I am sure my straightforward & quick birth was in part down to the practice and level of fitness Angela got me to. Angela and James are a great team, they are kind and professional and go the extra mile to make sure their clients needs are met. They are also committed to CPD to ensure all up to date practices are being taught. James’ massage therapy is all you need to treat those antenatal or post natal aches and pains. I attended Angela’s postnatal Pilates classes after having my first child and really enjoyed them, feeling the benefit to my core strength and posture. When I fell pregnant with my second child, I was pleased to be able to continue my Pilates classes, joining the pregnancy Pilates sessions. It was so good to be in a class tailored to pregnancy with a variety of exercises and equipment used each week to keep the classes interesting. Angela’s dedication to checking each person’s positioning and adapting the exercises where necessary meant we were all doing the exercises correctly. The lovely relaxation time at the end of each class meant I left feeling relaxed, but that I had worked out. I would thoroughly recommend Angela’s classes and look forward to joining the postnatal classes to help me get back into shape after having my second child!

Having dipped in and out of Pilates, when I fell pregnant with my second baby I wanted to find a class to help me prepare my body as best I could. I stumbled across Pilates with Angela via Google and what a super stumble! Angela is very professional and friendly which encouraged me to try a new class in a new place. The studio is a welcoming place which is very easy to relax in. I was most impressed with Angela’s knowledge of the body and the body in pregnancy and felt the exercises were adapted to the stage of pregnancy I was at. Each class also ended with some meditation which really worked for me and helped me to reflect and de-stress.I would thoroughly recommend this class to pregnant women and was actually quite sad when I could no longer attend.

Just wanted to shout out to James Rake – local massage therapist. I am 38 weeks pregnant and James gave me a really wonderful pregnancy massage yesterday. This was not your average spa massage, which I personally find relaxing but ineffective. James tailored my massage to suit my specific aches and pains whilst ensuring I was relaxed and comfortable throughout. Woke feeling so much better today. Highly recommend for all, especially pregnant women!

I have started attending Angela’s pregnancy pilates classes since the 16th week of pregnancy and now well into my 3rd trimester I can definitely say they have made a huge difference to my general wellbeing. Not only I have kept mobile and pain free thoughout the pregnancy but also very positive about the whole experience of expecting a first child. I really like the hypnobirthing scripts that she does at the end of each pilates session and my husband and I have learnt so much during the one day hypnobirthing course. During the 2nd trimester I started experiencing lower back pain and leg cramps but managed to keep them at bay with James’ pregnancy massages. They are soothing and relaxing and it’s the only time I can lie on my front as he uses a special pregnancy massage full body pillow. We are looking forward to welcoming our baby and I plan to continue with the post-pregancy restorative classes and massages in the future. I would recommend Angela and James as they are highly trained specialists and really lovely people.

Had a wonderful pregnancy massage last night and feel so much taller this morning! James released all the aches and tension I was feeling and also made me more aware of my posture so that I can help myself to prevent the aches coming back. Thanks James, hope to be back again soon!
